The Ministry of Defense has simplified the purchase of pickup trucks by combat units and the write-off of military property. This was announced by the head of the department Denys Shmyhal, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to him, military units will be able to purchase used vehicles (pickups, ATVs, motorcycles) under a simplified procedure.
“The price will be determined on the basis of an expert opinion or a report on the valuation of property, which establishes the approximate market value,” the minister added.
Shmyhal also said that the write-off of military property is being simplified.
1Simplified procurement of vehicles for the front line
From now on, military units will be able to purchase used vehicles such as pickups, ATVs and motorcycles faster and easier.
The procurement will be carried out under a simplified procedure, and the cost of the equipment will be determined on the basis of an expert opinion or property valuation report that establishes the approximate market price.
2New algorithm for writing off military property
The government also approved amendments that give unit commanders the right to independently decide on the write-off of property worth up to UAH 1.7 million using unified write-off acts.
The updated rules provide for:
- reduction of the write-off period;
- regulation of the specifics of writing off drones, ammunition and their components;
- reducing the bureaucratic burden on military units.
These changes are being implemented within the framework of decisions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff and are intended to ensure more efficient use of resources and a more rapid response to the needs of the army.
