To this end, the NBU has developed a curriculum, is working on textbooks, trains teachers, created the Talan Financial Knowledge Centre for educators, develops educational materials, and holds educational events for children.
Igor Khvorostyanyi, Director General of the School Education Directorate at the Ministry of Education and Science, said that the Ministry of Education and Science supports initiatives aimed at improving the financial literacy of children and youth.
“With the launch of the New Ukrainian School reform, the situation is changing. Financial literacy is a cross-cutting line in education from the 1st grade. Children learn to plan purchases, count money, and learn that they can save money in a playful way, i.e. postpone purchases for the future,”

From grade 8 onwards, a targeted financial literacy course will be introduced, which will cover more complex topics such as interaction with banks, starting a business, and securities.
