The Ministry of Digital Transformation will hold an AI hackathon: how to participate and receive a grant of up to $8000

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has announced the launch of the state artificial intelligence hackathon Diia.AI Contest, which aims to find real AI solutions for integration into the Diia app. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The hackathon is held in partnership with EPAM Ukraine, and participants will compete for the opportunity to implement their projects in three key areas:
- AI for public services – development of intelligent solutions that will simplify the work with public services for millions of Ukrainians.
- AI services for businesses and entrepreneurs – creation of services that will help companies automate processes and improve efficiency.
- AI to optimize government processes – implementing solutions that increase productivity and reduce time spent in government agencies.
Grants and mentorship
The winners will receive grants of up to $8,000 and mentoring support from top EPAM Ukraine experts.
Participants will work on real cases of AI integration into the Diia app, and the top ten teams will present their projects at Demo Day.
Terms of participation
Engineers, researchers, and anyone with experience in AI development can join the competition, either individually or in teams of 2-6 people.
Online hackathon: november 14-23, 2025
Final presentation: november 29, live in Kyiv
Application deadline: November 12 inclusive
