The leadership of the Ministry of Veterans has dismissed Ruslana Velychko-Trifoniuk, Deputy Minister for European Integration, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said.
The decision was made after information about unethical behavior was published on January 6. On that day, journalist and ex-military man Yevhen Shybalov announced his resignation from the Ministry of Veterans because of humiliation by the leadership.
He did not directly mention Velychko’s name in the post.

“The Ministry categorically condemns behavior that humiliates the honor and dignity of a war veteran or any person, regardless of age, gender, nationality, social status, etc. and no circumstances can be an excuse. Each employer, regardless of ownership, must create appropriate conditions for the reintegration of a veteran in the workplace,” the Ministry of Veterans said in a statement.
Prior to her position at the Ministry of Veterans, Velychko was the acting executive director of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.
