Ukrainian political scientist, Doctor of Political Science Hanna Malkina in a YouTube interview
“According to statistics, young people vote very, very poorly. Therefore, we cannot say that they will be critical voters when they grow up. I mean, maybe they will be critical when they start going to the polls, or maybe they won’t,” she said.
According to Malkina, critical thinking and political reputation are not always associated with specific politicians.
“If we talk about personalities, about individual politicians, Petro Poroshenko, Bezuhlo, Serhiy Vlasenko or anyone else, people will never remember it. You and I know what we are talking about, because we are in this political life, and we are interested in this life. But people do not remember this,” she added.
Malkina emphasized that in order to form conscious voters, it is important to shift the focus from individual personalities to principles and political processes in general.
