Monobank has updated its app and now allows currency transfers only between relatives. This innovation applies to transfers in US dollars and euros – they are allowed if the recipient is your relative and the relationship is confirmed.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Business Insider Telegram channel.
To transfer, you need to confirm the relationship. If these are first-line relatives – parents, children, husband or wife – it is enough to submit documents directly in the application. This can be a birth or marriage certificate. For other relatives – brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandchildren, etc. – the relationship can be confirmed through the bank’s support by sending the relevant documents.
After confirming the relationship, you will be able to transfer currency freely without any fees. It is important that both you and your relative have currency cards in the same currency, otherwise the funds will be automatically converted into hryvnia.
