Frost down to -16 and ice: weather forecast for February 18

Today, February 18, Ukraine is expected to have partly cloudy weather with no precipitation. The roads will be icy in some places, and the temperature will drop to 16° below zero. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ukrainian Weather Center.
The weather forecast for Ukraine for February 18 is partly cloudy with no significant precipitation. At the same time, ice is expected on the roads in most regions, with the exception of Transcarpathia and Crimea, which may hamper traffic.
The wind will be weak, of variable directions, at a speed of 3-8 m/s. Temperatures will remain wintery: at night, the air will cool down to 11-16 degrees below zero, in the east and northeast of the country, in some places, down to -18°. During the day, the temperature will be 1-6° below zero, and in the highlands of the Carpathians it may drop to -10°.

In Zakarpattia, southern Ukraine and Crimea, night temperatures will be milder, ranging from 6 to 11 degrees below zero. During the day, these regions are expected to warm up to zero degrees.
Partly cloudy weather and no precipitation are also expected in Kyiv region. There is a possibility of ice formation on the roads. The wind will be of variable direction, 3-8 m/s. The temperature in the region will be 11-16° below zero at night, 1-6° below zero during the day. In Kyiv, the temperature will be 11-13° below zero at night and 2-4° below zero during the day.
Forecasters predict that the frost in Ukraine will last until the end of the week.
