FORECAST
In Ukraine, a gradual easing of frosts is expected in the coming days.
This was reported by meteorologist Natalia Golenia in an exclusive comment to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to her, the cold weather will recede slowly but steadily, with temperatures rising by several degrees every day.
“In general, across Ukraine, there will be a gradual easing of the cold weather this week,” the forecaster said.
According to preliminary calculations, by the beginning of next week, temperatures in the southern, central, and eastern regions may rise to a thaw — “to 0–6 degrees Celsius.” Currently, according to Golenia, there will be “a weakening of the frosts by 2–3 degrees every day.”
A gradual warming is also forecast for Kyiv and the surrounding region.
“In Kyiv, the frost will ease by a degree or two per day throughout this week,” she explained.
The coming night will still be clear, but the weather will become mostly cloudy in the future.
On January 22-24, forecasters predict light snow in the capital. Over the weekend, the air temperature will fluctuate between 1–6 degrees below zero. While tonight is expected to be 12–17 degrees below zero in the region and 12–14 degrees below zero in Kyiv, on January 24, the nighttime temperature will be 6–8 degrees below zero, and the daytime temperature will be 3–5 degrees below zero.
Thus, the severe frosts will gradually weaken, giving way to milder winter weather.
