Frost and snowfall change plans: the government advises schools and workplaces to switch to remote learning and working
8 January 21:20
Against the backdrop of a sharp deterioration in weather conditions, the government recommends temporarily switching to distance learning and remote working. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who noted that decisions should be made taking into account the situation in the regions, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
What decisions are being proposed
The Ministry of Education and Science, together with central authorities and military administrations, has been instructed to urgently address the issue of suspending in-person learning. Among the proposed options are:
- distance learning,
- extending the winter break until at least January 19.
The recommendations apply to preschool, general secondary, vocational, pre-higher, and higher education institutions. At the same time, final decisions will be made after the conclusions of the TEB and NS commissions and taking into account the actual conditions on the ground.
What about the work of institutions and businesses
Military administrations, together with the TEB and NS commissions, also recommend considering the transfer of enterprises and institutions to remote mode for the period of severe weather.
The exception is critical infrastructure facilities and other entities for which remote work is impossible under martial law.
