Moscow demands Ukraine’s disarmament: Kyiv responds with “absurdity and inadequacy”

Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry has rejected Russia’s statement about the need to destroy Western weapons that Ukraine receives from international partners.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi called such a demand from Moscow absurd, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Russian officials put forward new absurd demands almost every day. This is another manifestation of complete inadequacy. Moscow is once again demonstrating contempt for the efforts of the United States and other partners aimed at ending the war,” Tychy said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said that Russia demands that Ukraine abandon the use of Western weapons.
