Acting Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Tetiana Berezhna met with the staff of the National Conservation Area “St. Sophia of Kyiv” to discuss key areas for the further development of the institution, including the preservation of historical monuments, personnel policy, funding, and opportunities for cooperation with patrons and international partners. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
During the meeting, the participants discussed a number of strategic initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Culture:
- updating and improving the legislative framework to attract patronage support, in particular through the introduction of tax incentives for business;
- expanding the list of paid services in nature reserves and museums, which will allow the proceeds to be used exclusively for the preservation of cultural sites and infrastructure development;
- implementing the 1000 Hours of Ukrainian Content program to support projects that promote national cultural heritage through documentary and feature films;
- intensification of international cooperation within the framework of projects of UNESCO, the European Union, and the Council of Europe, to which St. Sophia of Kyiv is also a party.
The participants also emphasized the need to create a stable financial basis for the activities of cultural institutions, strengthen human resources, and develop public-private partnerships in the field of cultural heritage preservation.

“We are working to ensure that the reserves have more autonomy and that the Ministry performs a strategic rather than a controlling function. Your professional experience is invaluable for the formation of a modern policy of cultural heritage preservation,” said Deputy Minister Ivan Verbytskyi.
