The Prosecutor General of Ukraine has served a notice of suspicion to the current MP Mykola Tyshchenko over the illegal detention of a former serviceman in Dnipro. This was reported by the press services of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"

According to the investigation, on 20 June 2024, in Dnipro, a group of people, on the instructions of a Ukrainian MP, unlawfully deprived a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of his liberty. The victim was held for a certain period of time and inflicted bodily harm. Investigators found that this was done by prior conspiracy by a group of people with the use of physical force and special means.

In the course of the investigation, the MP’s place was searched and he was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal deprivation of liberty).

Law enforcement officers did not report on the items seized during the search, but distributed a photo with cash and an expensive watch found in the MP’s possession.

During the searches, Mykola Tyshchenko deliberately broke his own phone.

The court is to choose a preventive measure for Mykola Tyshchenko. The prosecutor’s office will request round-the-clock house arrest.

Incident with a military man in Dnipro

on 20 June, MP Mykola Tyshchenko and a group of people were in the city of Dnipro, allegedly to combat illegal call centres. There, he and his bodyguards had a conflict with a former serviceman of the Kraken special unit of the GUR, Dmitry “Son” Pavlov. The video shows that Tyshchenko’s bodyguards, including a policeman, detained the soldier and used force against him. The pretext for this was allegedly that the serviceman had made a comment about the uniform of Tyshchenko’s entourage.

The video became so resonant that Tyshchenko was even disowned by his godfather, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, who called such behaviour shameful.

The police opened an investigation into the conflict and, according to media reports, fired a police officer from Tyshchenko’s company, Bohdan Olehovych Pysarenko, an employee of the Kyiv Main Department of the National Police.

As it turned out, one of Tyshchenko’s bodyguards was a deputy of the Poltava Regional Council from the OPFL, Savchenko Serhiy Petrovych.

Tyshchenko himself stated that ex-serviceman Pavlov took the phone from his assistant and attacked the policeman.
