Last year’s profit of Ukrainian agribusiness exceeded pre-war figures: who is in the lead

In 2024, Ukraine’s agricultural business showed growth and, despite the damage caused by the war, reached record levels in terms of key financial indicators. This is reported by GrainTrade with reference to the analytical data of the VKURSI platform, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs.

Thus, compared to the previous year, the total income of the domestic agribusiness in 2024 increased 2.6 times from UAH 920.9 billion to UAH 2.4 trillion, and the profit increased five times – from UAH 65.8 billion to UAH 327 billion, which indicates the rapid recovery of the industry, its stability and ability to adapt to difficult conditions.

In which regions the business was most successful

According to the VKURSI platform, companies registered in the central regions of Ukraine generated the largest share of revenue (47%). This indicates a significant concentration of agricultural business in these regions, relative safety of its operation and insignificant loss of land due to mining.

In particular, farmers in Vinnytsia region received 12% of all agricultural revenues.

The largest income in 2024 was generated by farmers in Vinnytsia – UAH 292.8 billion, Cherkasy – UAH 265.3 billion, Poltava – UAH 216.2 billion, Kyiv – UAH 203.7 billion, and Khmelnytsky – UAH 157.8 billion.

Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC – UAH 54.4 billion,

PJSC Myronivska Poultry Farm – UAH 28.6 billion,

PJSC Lebedynskyi Seed Plant – UAH 19.7 billion,

Enselco Agro LLC – UAH 13 billion,

PJSC “Grain Product MHP” – UAH 12.6 billion.

Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC – UAH 4 billion,

Zoloti Prudy Cooperative – UAH 3.4 billion,

Agroprodservice PJSC – UAH 3.3 billion,

PJSC Myronivska Poultry Farm – UAH 3.1 billion

Earlier this year, Forbes Ukraine presented the Ukrainian Employers Rating. The publication has been compiling this rating for five years in a row. This time, the research was conducted with the support of Robota.ua. Almost 48,000 employees from more than 270 companies took part in the survey.

According to Forbes Ukraine, the top 50 companies include ten IT companies, six retailers, five agricultural companies, and five banks. The number of pharmaceutical companies has increased from five to six, and DILA Laboratory has also entered the list.

The top three leaders are IT company Intellias (3007 employees), which received a total of 82 points, telecom company Vodafone (3485 employees) with a total of 80 points, and EdTech company Headway (390 employees) with 80 points.
