112 combat engagements took place in the frontline: the situation is the most intense in two sectors

There were 112 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day. The situation was the most intense in the Pokrovsk sector, while Russians became more active in the Kurakhove sector. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy launched four missile strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using six missiles, as well as 71 air strikes, dropping 119 drones. In addition, it carried out more than 4,300 attacks, including 121 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas, including Liptsi, Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Mali Prokhody, Staritsa, Vovchansky Khutory and Vetarine in Kharkiv region; Mezhove, Novoselivka Persha, Vozdvyzhenka, Tymofiivka, Vovche, Hrodivka, Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Katerynivka and Yelyzavetivka in Donetsk region.
Situation at the frontline
In theKharkiv sector, seven combat engagements took place in the vicinity of Hlyboke and Vovchansk.
In theKupyansk sector, the number of attacks totalled nine over the last day. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Sinkivka, Andriivka, Pishchane, Berestove and Stepova Novoselivka.
In theLiman sector, the enemy attacked nine times near Hrekivka, Makiivka and Nevske.
In theSiverskyi sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 assault attacks by Russian invaders near Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Vyymka, Pereyizne and Pivdenne.
In theKramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked seven times in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Klishchiyivka and Opytne.
In theToretsk sector, the enemy carried out 11 attacks near Pivnichne, New York and Toretsk.
In thePokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 24 assaults in the areas of Progress, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Novoselivka Persha and Umanske, where the invaders, supported by aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions. The highest concentration of enemy attacks was near Novooleksandrivka.
In theKurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 23 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defences of our troops.
In theVremivsk sector, the enemy made six attacks on our positions near Vodiane.
In theHuliaypillia and Orikhivske directions , the occupants continue to try to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. Four Russian attacks failed in the areas of Marfopol, Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.
In thePrydniprovskyi sector , there was one hostile assault near Kozachy Lager.
In theVolyn and Polissya sectors, the situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
Enemy losses
At the same time, our soldiers continue to inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire frontline.
Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces conducted nine strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons, as well as hit a UAV control centre and a Buk missile system.
In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1110 casualties over the past day. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralised 11 tanks, nine armoured combat vehicles, 43 artillery systems, one MLRS, an air defence system, 31 operational and tactical UAVs, 61 vehicles and nine pieces of enemy special equipment.
As of the morning of 17 July 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had killed 562,510 soldiers of the Russian Federation’s army.
The total combat losses of the Russian army from 24.02.22 to 17.07.24 are estimated to be
