Artist and journalist Lana “Sati” Chornohorska dies at the front

A servicewoman, artist Lana “Sati” Chornohorska, was killed in the southern sector. This was reported by the UDA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“Sati was a dedicated warrior, an ideological person and a true friend. In addition to her military activities, Sati was an artist, cultural activist and activist,” the statement reads.

The soldier was killed by a Russian UAV.

Lana Chornohorska was involved in the unit from the preparation of drones to their combat use, she was both a pilot and navigator of various UAVs.

Lana’s comrades-in-arms noted that this is a huge loss for the entire unit. Information about the time and place of the funeral and farewell ceremony will be announced separately in the near future.

Lana was born in Zaporizhzhia, studied in Dnipro, lived in Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, but especially loved Kharkiv, which she called her home. She was a journalist for the Kharkiv-based media outlet Luke, an activist and artist. Lana joined the Ukrainian Volunteer Army in 2024. She studied for a long time to master working with drones and became a drone operator. The girl told about her path to the army in the podcast “She. War” podcast on Nakypelo.
