The evacuation zone for civilians from Kupyansk district has been expanded in Kharkiv region. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Telegram of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Reportedly, this was discussed during a meeting of the Kharkiv Regional Defense Council with the participation of the military, emergency workers, representatives of law enforcement agencies and district heads.

The Russian occupiers are using guided aerial bombs, multiple rocket launchers and drones against civilians, killing two people and injuring five, including a 16-year-old boy, said the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov. According to him, the shelling damaged 87 private and 27 apartment buildings.

“Due to the intensified hostile shelling of Kupiansk district, a decision was made to evacuate the population from 7 settlements of the Shevchenkivska community. These are the villages: Baranivka, Berezivka, Novomykolayivka, Spodobivka, Starovirivka, Duvanka and Fedorivka,” wrote the head of the JMA.

A total of 181 children are to be evacuated to safe places.

“In total, we plan to evacuate 181 children from seven settlements to safe places. All evacuees will receive temporary housing, support in obtaining IDP status, access to social benefits and humanitarian aid. Priority assistance will be provided at the transit center in Kharkiv,” noted Mr. Syniehubov.

It should be noted that back in April, evacuation of families with children was announced in some settlements of Mezhivska community in Dnipropetrovska oblast.
