Ukrainian soldiers have captured North Korean soldiers in Kursk Region. These are two soldiers who, although wounded, but survived, were taken to Kiev and are already communicating with SBU investigators. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, informs "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the head of state, these two soldiers from North Korea, as well as all captives, are provided with the necessary medical care.

Volodymyr Zelensky said that for the Ukrainian military “the task was not easy: usually the Russians and other military from North Korea finish their wounded and do everything so that no evidence of the participation of another state – North Korea – in the war against Ukraine is preserved.”

“I am grateful to our soldiers of tactical group No. 84 of the AFU Special Operations Forces and our paratrooper soldiers who captured these two men,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.

He also said that he instructed the Security Service of Ukraine to provide journalists with access to these prisoners: the world must know what is happening.

In the SBU reported the details of the interrogation of prisoners of war of the DPRK

The intelligence service noted that communication with North Korean soldiers is carried out through Korean language interpreters and in cooperation with South Korean intelligence.

It is also interesting, the SBU noted, that the DPRK military, like the Russian military at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, claimed that he was traveling ostensibly for training and not for the war against Ukraine.

At the time of capture, one of the North Korean soldiers was carrying a Russian-style military ticket issued in the name of another person with registration in the Republic of Tuva, while the other had no documents at all.

During interrogation, the prisoner who had a military ticket said that the document was issued to him in Russia in the fall of 2024. At that time, he said, some of North Korea’s combat units had been harmonizing with Rashist groups for a week. He added that he was born in 2005, was a rifleman and had served in North Korea since 2021.

Another POW confirmed the testimony of his “partner.” He gave part of his answers to questions in writing because he has a traumatized jaw. According to preliminary data, he was born in 1999 and has been serving in the DPRK army since 2016 as a sniper-intelligence officer.
