In Lviv region, a prosecutor caused a traffic accident: a child died

On February 24, a fatal traffic accident involving a prosecutor from one of the district prosecutor’s offices occurred in the Lviv region. As a result of the accident, one child died and another was hospitalized. The driver was detained, and an investigation is ongoing. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
What is known about the accident
According to preliminary data:
- the accident occurred at night;
- the driver was returning home from work;
- the driver was a prosecutor from one of the district prosecutor’s offices in the Lviv region;
- one child died, another is in the hospital.
The driver underwent a medical examination — no signs of alcohol intoxication were found.

Reaction of the Prosecutor General’s Office
The Prosecutor General stated that the investigation would be thorough and impartial.
“The Office of the Prosecutor General and I personally express our sincere condolences to the family. No words can ease the pain of parents who have lost their daughter. It is especially painful to realize that the child’s father is defending Ukraine on the front lines today,” said Ruslan Kravchenko.
According to him, the proceedings are under his personal control.
Who is investigating the case
The investigation is being conducted by investigators from the State Bureau of Investigations.
The agency emphasized that all the circumstances of the tragedy are being established, and the driver’s actions will be legally assessed in accordance with the law.
