Second attack on shopping center in Lviv region in a week: one wounded

Another case of violence against military personnel working as part of alert groups occurred in Lviv region. The attack on the soldier took place during a document check. This was reported by the Operational Command “West”, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs
It is not the first time that incidents of aggression against representatives of the TCC and alert groups have been recorded, which raises serious concerns and questions about the safety of the military in the rear regions.
How the attack happened
According to the Zakhid military group, a soldier stopped a citizen of mobilization age to identify him and check his documents. The man tried to avoid identification and suddenly attacked the soldier.
“The citizen, trying to avoid identification, injured the serviceman with an object that looked like a kitchen tool such as an axe-hammer,” the command said in a statement.
The wounded soldier was immediately hospitalized. According to doctors, his life is not in danger.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting investigative actions, establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the legal qualification of the attack.
Military response: internal aggression is unacceptable
The West Operational Command strongly condemned the attack:
“In time of war, internal aggression against the military is unacceptable. Thearmy cannot fight on two fronts – against the external enemy and against those who allow themselves to disregard the law and endanger the military,” the statement said.
A series of attacks on TCC representatives and the military: a worrying trend
This incident is not an isolated one.
The following cases have occurred in recent months:
- on December 3, a 37-year-old soldier of the Halychyna-Frankivsk RCCC and JV was fatally wounded in Lviv.
- In Odesa and Cherkasy, military personnel of the CCC were attacked with knives.
- At the 7th Kilometer market in Odesa, a crowd attacked representatives of the CCC and even overturned their car. The attackers face up to 15 years in prison.
Why such attacks are dangerous for the country’s defense capability
Military personnel and employees of the TCC are performing a state task and work in a risky area, even in the rear.
Aggression against the military weakens the mobilization resource and creates an additional threat to the security of defense structures.
Such attacks may lead to stricter control, increased responsibility and new legislative changes.
The incident in the Lviv region is another alarming signal of growing internal aggression against the military. While the investigation is ongoing, the military calls on society to take responsibility and understand that in times of war, attacks on soldiers actually play to the enemy’s advantage.
