Wet snow to cover Ukraine on St. Nicholas Day: weather forecast for December 6

St. Nicholas Day in Ukraine will be cloudy, humid and with precipitation. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
In most regions, snow, sleet or snow flakes are expected, and in warmer regions – rains. In the south, according to forecasts, no significant precipitation is expected.
“It will be freezing at night, 0-4 degrees below zero, so be careful in the evening and in the morning, it’s slippery! During the day, Ukraine is expected to have temperatures from 2 degrees below zero to 3 degrees above zero, and 3-6 degrees in the southern part,” the forecaster writes.
On December 6, light wet snow and an increase in southeast winds to 6-9 m/s are forecast for the capital.
“At night in Kyiv, the temperature will range from -1°C to -3°C, and during the day we expect it to be around zero,” meteorologists report.
In the future, the forecaster promises warming and rain across the country.
Forecasters at the Ukrainian Weather Center warn of sleet, rain and ice in different regions of the country.
At night, there will be light sleet on the Left Bank, and during the day, precipitation will cover most regions, except for the western regions. In the Transcarpathian, eastern, central and northern regions, ice formation is possible. Ice is expected to form on the roads in these regions, which may hamper traffic.
“The wind will be southeast, moderate, 5-10 m/s. We advise you to be careful on the road and avoid sharp maneuvers due to slippery surfaces,” the weather forecasters warn.
The air temperature will vary from -3°C to 2°C throughout the day. In the southern regions, it will be warmer: during the day, the thermometer will rise to 7°C.
Light snow is expected in the Carpathians, with night temperatures dropping to -9°C and daytime temperatures ranging from -5°C to 0°C.
