A mine explodes on a beach in Zatoka, killing three people

On Sunday, August 10, an explosion occurred on the beach in Zatoka, Odesa region. A mine detonated, leaving three dead.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the local newspaper Dumskaya.
According to preliminary data, the mine exploded on the beach between the villages of Zatoka and Karolino-Bugaz. The mine allegedly detonated in the sea, about 50 meters from the shore.
Law enforcement officers have arrived at the scene and are collecting all information about the incident. Details will be available later.
It should be noted that according to the regional administration, the beaches in Zatoka are not included in the list of open areas and there is no permission to stay there, although the town welcomes tourists.
