At Trump’s request: Lukashenko pardons 31 Ukrainians

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens, and they will return home today.
This was stated by the Belarusian dictator’s spokeswoman Natalia Eismont, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citingBelTA.
“Following up on the agreements reached between US President Donald Trump and Alexander Lukashenko, at the request of the Ukrainian side, in order to create conditions for the settlement of the armed conflict in the neighboring state, the president pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens,” Eismont said.
She also noted that the pardoned Ukrainians had previously committed criminal offenses in Belarus.
The pardoned were handed over to the Ukrainian side.
Two Catholic priests were also pardoned. It is reported that their release took place “at the request of Pope Leo XIV.”
In June of this year, Belarus released 14 prisoners at Trump’s request. Among them was Belarusian oppositionist Sergei Tikhonovsky.
Also on September 11, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said that Belarus had released 52 more prisoners at once. At the same time, the media reported that the United States would soon lift sanctions against the Belarusian airline Belavia, which happened on November 4.
