Traffic will be restricted at the checkpoint with Slovakia

From 19 to 21 March, Slovakia will restrict the movement of trucks through the Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Slovak border. This was reported by the publication Aktuality.sk, the Komersant ukrainskyi reported 
According to the spokeswoman for the Michalovce customs office, Jana Nimrichterova, the restrictions are related to scheduled regular maintenance and checks of truck scales.
She clarified that from Tuesday to Thursday, there will be daily breaks from 8:00 to 18:00. During these intervals, traffic at the checkpoint will be stopped mainly in one lane. The operating lane will be marked with road signs.
“Truck drivers crossing the state border are asked to be especially careful and follow the temporary road signs and instructions of the Financial Administration and police officers on duty,”
– added the spokesperson for the Michalowce Customs Office.
It is worth noting that Polish farmers have blocked a key road near the border with Germany to protest against food imports from Ukraine and the EU’s climate initiatives on agriculture.
