Prices for feed barley fell on the Ukrainian export market
5 October 16:13
This week, the demand prices for feed barley on the Ukrainian export market have declined, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports with reference to APK-Inform.
This situation was facilitated by increased competition in the Black Sea region, in particular from Russia due to good yields, lower demand from exporters expecting further decline, and low interest of domestic consumers. The gradual increase in global supply of the crop is also putting pressure on prices. At the same time, farmers do not consider it necessary to significantly increase the supply of barley and have taken a wait-and-see attitude when the price environment is more favorable, which limited the decline in prices.
Thus, in the ports of Greater Odesa, the purchase prices for feed barley decreased by 1-2 USD/t and as of the beginning of October 2025, they are mainly in the range of 208-216 USD/t CPT-port. At the same time, in the Danube ports, prices decreased within the previously established range and are mainly 206-214 USD/t CPT port.
