Activist Roman Ratushny’s brother died in the war

Defending Ukraine from the Russian occupiers, soldier Vasyl Ratushnyi, the brother of the well-known activist Roman Ratushnyi, who died in June 2022, was killed. This was reported by their mother, writer Svitlana Povalyaeva, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“27. 02. in 2025, at night, on a combat mission, the pilot of the UAV Birds of Magyars Vasyl Ratushnyi was killed by a direct attack from the FPV. My eldest son, my life,” she wrote.
She also added several photos of the deceased.
Roman Ratushnyi was a Ukrainian public figure, journalist, and volunteer soldier. He was a participant of Euromaidan. He is known for his fight to preserve the Protasiv Yar tract in Kyiv and as a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Both brothers were active participants in the Revolution of Dignity. At the beginning of the Russian invasion, they joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Roman Ratushnyi was killed on June 9, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv region, in one of the hot spots. The activist served as a scout in the 93rd Mechanized Brigade. He died a month before his 25th birthday.
