More than 100 thousand subscribers in Volyn without electricity due to enemy attack on New Year’s Eve

Russian troops attacked the Volyn region all night long. More than 103 thousand subscribers were left without electricity due to the shelling of the power sector.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the head of the Volyn Regional Electricity Association Ivan Rudnytsky on Telegram.
“All night long, the region was under massive attack by Shahed UAVs. In total, several dozen enemy targets attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Volyn again,” Rudnytskyi said.
According to him, the air defense forces managed to shoot down some of the Russian Shahed drones. At the same time, there were also hits that caused fires. The fires occurred, in particular, in Lutsk and Kovel district, and their elimination is ongoing.
All relevant services are working at the sites of the attacks, and the consequences of the attack are being eliminated.
According to Volynoblenergo, 103,341 customers were left without electricity due to the shelling.
As the head of the company clarified, there has been no information about the dead or wounded.
On New Year’s Eve, the enemy also “congratulated” Odesa with several waves of attacks, which resulted in fires in the city.
The fall of Shaheds and debris caused fires at infrastructure facilities and damaged residential buildings. Rescuers extinguished all the fires, and bomb squads worked at the sites of the attacks.
