On the eve of Christmas and New Year celebrations, police officers reminded Ukrainians of an important ban, which is in force during martial law – the use of pyrotechnics. Violators face a fine or imprisonment, reported in the press service of the patrol police, informs "Komersant Ukrainian"
“Pyrotechnic products are means that create noise and light effects. While such means are detrimental to the psychological health of the population, because they resemble the sounds of explosions, so they can frighten people and animals who experience the horrors of war”, – stated in the message.
Also law enforcers noted that the punishment will be both for the use and sale of pyrotechnics. Violators face a fine with confiscation of goods or imprisonment.
The police urged Ukrainians to report to the hotline “102” on cases of violation of the ban.
“If you notice launched fireworks or hear a characteristic sound from their use, report to the line 112/102. During the Christmas and New Year holidays, remain conscious, think about the condition of other people, as well as our lesser brothers”, – stated in the message.
