MP Tyshchenko declared a gift from his ex worth UAH 12.6 million

Ukrainian MP Mykola Tyshchenko has declared a gift from his ex-wife worth UAH 12.6 million, Komersant ukrainskyi

The MP filed with the NACP a notice of significant changes in his property status, according to which on 15 February 2024 he received UAH 12 million 634 thousand 680 as a gift from Alla Baranovska.
Alla Baranovska is the politician’s ex-wife, with whom he divorced on 18 January this year. It is symbolic that he received the gift on 15 February, the day after Valentine’s Day, which is considered the patron saint of all lovers.
Prior to that, in January 2024, the MP filed a declaration for 2022, in which almost all of his family’s assets were declared to his ex-wife. For example, Tyshchenko’s accounts and cash included $41,500, €242,000 and more than UAH 5.68 million. His wife had UAH 9.15 million and USD 290 thousand. In the Verkhovna Rada, Tyshchenko earned UAH 489 thousand, and his wife received almost UAH 6 million in business income.
The MP did not own any real estate at all, but his ex-wife owns a 74 sq m apartment and other non-residential property. At the same time, the MP himself “uses” two apartments that do not belong to him, with a total area of 200 sq m, on the basis of a free loan.
The ex-spouses owned two Mercedes-Benz cars, of which the MP’s car was twice as expensive – UAH 2.6 million compared to his wife’s UAH 1.3 million.
But she “got even” Alla Baranovska spent her money on luxury goods. Mykola Tyshchenko had only 11 expensive watches, while she had as many as 21 such items, including watches, rings, earrings, bracelets, bags and parkas. Tyshchenko did not specify the value of these items.
