Daria Volodina, a member of parliament from the “Servant of the People” party, has resigned her seat

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the early termination of the mandate of People’s Deputy
Daria Volodina.
She was elected to parliament as a member of the Servant of the People party.
The decision was supported by 253 members of parliament, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Why Volodina resigned
Parliament adopted the corresponding draft resolution No. 15098.
This concerns the early termination of her parliamentary powers at her own request.
Daria Volodina was elected to parliament on the party’s list in the nationwide multi-member district.
What led to the decision
On March 23, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Rules of Procedure reviewed the MP’s statement.
The committee supported her request to resign her seat and recommended that Parliament adopt the corresponding decision.
Will this affect the faction
According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the decision will not affect the total number of members in the Servant of the People faction.
If a lawmaker leaves the party list, their seat is typically transferred to the next candidate on the party list.
