Consequences of drone strikes on Odesa: fire in a 9-story building, children among the wounded

On the night of Thursday, July 3, Russian occupation forces attacked Odesa with Shahed-type attack drones. A high-rise building was hit in the city. This was reported by Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov and the State Emergency Service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The enemy attack damaged a 9-story building, and a fire broke out on the 7th to 9th floors. Rescuers freed five people who were trapped on the upper floors.
“There are two children among them. They are all receiving the necessary assistance. Three victims were hospitalized,” Trukhanov said.
The State Emergency Service emphasized that rescuers evacuated 50 residents, including 10 people, including 2 children, using special equipment. Unfortunately, there are four injured.






The Resilience Center of the State Emergency Service has been deployed at the site, and psychologists are working. The liquidation work is ongoing. According to him, after a preliminary inspection, it became clear that one of the front doors of the house was heavily damaged.
It is dangerous to be in it. After the emergency structures are removed, experts will conduct a detailed assessment of the building’s condition to determine further actions.
