Frost is coming: weather forecast for January 4-5

Ukraine will be covered by a cold snap, which, according to weather forecasts, will only intensify over the weekend. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
In some regions, gusty winds and snow are possible.
Didenko warned that next night the temperature will drop to -5…-2 °C, while in the southeast it will be slightly warmer – 0…3 °C.
On Saturday, January 4, during the day in the western and northern regions, the temperature is expected to be -3…-1 °C, in the central regions and in the east – from -1 °C to 2 °C, and in the southern part – 2…7 °C. Precipitation is expected in the form of sleet and rain in the south.
On the night of Sunday, January 5, the temperature will drop to -9…-4 °C, and during the day on January 5 it will be 0…-3 °C, in the southern regions – 0…3 °C. On Sunday, precipitation will stop in most regions, but in the evening snow will cover the Carpathians and Transcarpathia again.
Saturday will be marked by strong westerly and northwesterly winds, which will create gusts. In Kyiv, sleet is forecast, with night temperatures of -3…-1 °C and daytime temperatures around -1 °C. Due to the wind, the temperature will be -8…-5 °C.
On Sunday, the precipitation will stop in the capital and the wind will subside. The temperature will drop to -7…-4 °C at night and -2…0 °C during the day.
When warming is expected in Ukraine
Starting January 6, Ukraine is expected to warm up, which will last until January 10. Starting January 11, Natalia Didenko predicts another drop in temperature.
