The National Bank has cancelled all licences of the insurance company Ekta

The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to impose a sanction on the insurance company Ekta in the form of licence revocation. This was reported by the NBU, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
In December 2023, the National Bank conducted an unscheduled inspection of the said insurance company.
The inspection revealed and recorded the fact of a repeated violation of licence conditions in terms of non-compliance with the solvency and capital adequacy ratios within two years from the date of the National Bank’s decision to eliminate violations of licence conditions.
The decision to impose the enforcement measure came into force on 4 June 2024.
The NBU also decided to appoint a temporary administration at ALC IC Ekta and to remove the management bodies of the insurance company from management.
After this decision is made, the interim administrator must immediately take up his duties in accordance with Articles 57-60 of the Law of Ukraine “On Insurance”.
The NBU also decided to prohibit any expenditure transactions on the accounts of “IC Ekta” ALC, except for transactions necessary to ensure the exercise of the powers of the interim administrator, and prohibited any transactions with property.
