The National Bank of Ukraine has put into circulation a new commemorative coin dedicated to the Vampire multi-purpose drone and the third anniversary of its debut flight. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the NBU.

“We continue to honor Ukrainian weapons and their creators on coins. Today, a new coin from the Armed Forces of Ukraine series has been put into circulation, which logically continues this thematic direction. This is a commemorative coin “Ukrainian Cotton. Vampire UAV”, dedicated to the powerful multi-purpose Vampire drone,” the statement said.

The obverse depicts a war-torn land with craters, on the left – the chancers emphasizing the defensive character, on the right – a burning destroyed enemy tank. Above all this is the silhouette of a Vampire drone in flight.

The reverse features a hexacopter dropping a munition against a stylized cloud with lightning bolts symbolizing the power and speed of the strikes. The upper part of the coin bears the inscription VAMPIRE.

The design of the coin was developed by artists Volodymyr Taran, Oleksandr and Serhii Haruk. The face value of the commemorative coin is 5 hryvnias, and the mintage is up to 75,000 copies in souvenir packaging.

Starting from July 8, the coin can be ordered from the NBU’s online store and from distributor banks, a list of which is available on the NBU’s official website.

Vampire is a new generation multifunctional high-precision drone created by the Ukrainian company SkyFall in 2022. Its main task is to support the security and defense forces in the fight against Russia’s full-scale aggression.

The first flight of this drone took place on July 6, 2022, exactly three years ago. This hexacopter has become an indispensable tool for target destruction, remote mining, and humanitarian aid.

The enemy dubbed it “Baba Yaga” because of its destructive power. More than a million combat operations confirm its effectiveness.
