Why use a photocopier if you have Diia: in December, Ukrainians confirmed this almost 2 million times

In December 2024, Ukrainians used the service of sharing digital copies of documents through Diia more than 1.8 million times, which is an absolute record. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Instead of scanned copies and photos, a few clicks in the app. It’s convenient and fast. That’s why Diia remains your favorite way to share documents,” the official wrote on Telegram and cited statistics on how Ukrainians were approaching the record:

2021 – more than 2.5 million shares

2022 – more than 6.9 million

2023 – more than 11.3 million

2024 – already 16.3 million!

Mykhailo Fedorov also reminded us how document sharing through Diia works. A company sends a request for a copy of a document directly to your Diia → you confirm the request with Diia.Signature → an electronic PDF copy is sent to the system or to the company’s email.

“It’s easy for business too. Set up integration with Diia and receive digital copies of documents. We have several integration scenarios – choose the one that suits you,” the Minister emphasized.

He reminded that this can be done on the Diia Integration website, which offers convenient digital document management services for businesses and government agencies.

Not the only record

Summarizing the year 2024, the Diia team recalled other joint achievements: that Diia has almost 21.8 million users, that Ukraine is the 5th country in the world in terms of digital public services, that Time magazine included Diia in the list of the best inventions of the year, and that for the first time in the world, Diia made it possible to have a fully digital marriage.

Last year, Diia also introduced three new types of documents (educational documents, veteran’s certificates, marriage and divorce certificates); the ability to apply to the International Register of Losses, receive IDP assistance and student grants, join the National Cashback, Winter eSupport, eBook projects, the ability to book employees of critical enterprises and replenish the Army of Drones, and a couple dozen other new services.

Ukrainians are generally satisfied with the online service

According to research by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, the level of satisfaction with digital services increased by 5% and reached 84% in 2024, compared to 78.5% in 2023. The most popular electronic services among Ukrainians are the Diia services, vehicle registration, and obtaining information from state registers.

It is logical that Ukraine is now among the leaders in the development of digital public services. As of the middle of last year, Ukraine was ranked 5th in the world in terms of the level of development of digital services provided by the state in the Online Services Index. This is despite the fact that in 2018 Ukraine was ranked 102nd.
