The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has recovered UAH 2.6 billion from the Pin-Up online casino to the state budget through a special confiscation.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

In addition to the confiscation, the court approved an agreement between the prosecutor and the accused, the director of the online casino. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison, with a 3-year suspended sentence for

  • conducting business activities in cooperation with the aggressor state
  • participation in a criminal organization
  • intentional tax evasion on a large scale
  • legalization of property obtained by criminal means
  • forgery in office.

As part of the investigation into the activities of this online casino, investigators found evidence of Pin-Up’s representatives’ aiding and abetting the aggressor state. In particular, they documented the online casino’s ties with representatives of the Russian Federation and entities sanctioned in Ukraine, as well as financial flows to fill the aggressor’s budget and support activities related to armed aggression against Ukraine.

In addition, people associated with online casino activities carry out their business activities on the territory of the “LPR”.

“In addition, the person who directly controls the activities of the online casino, after the start of the full-scale invasion, financed the veterans of the so-called “LPR”. The online casino itself continues to operate on the territory of the Russian Federation and Russian web resources,” the report emphasized
