Borovskyi: The greatest infringement of military rights occurs at the stage of transfer between units

In Ukraine, there are still significant problems with the observance of the rights of military personnel, in particular with regard to transfers between units.

This was discussed in a YouTube interview with [Kommersant] attorney Taras Borovskyi said in a YouTube interview commenting on the situation with personnel policy in the army.

“Significant infringement of rights occurs in the context of transfers from unit to unit. I think that the generals and the General Staff are putting a spoke in the wheel. It is more convenient for them to understand that in this unit we have so many people predicted, and not that the commander is “not like that” and 300 people have been transferred,” Borovskyi emphasized.

According to him, it is the desire of the General Staff to maintain a stable number of personnel that complicates the process of transferring military personnel.

“That is, it is more convenient for the General Staff to avoid these transfers. And I understand that it is because of the “blocks” that they do not take place there. This is the biggest violation of rights,” he explained.

In addition, the lawyer noted other systemic problems, including rare vacations for military personnel.

“Next, I would say that there are still problems with the lack of vacations for military personnel. Still, such violations are quite widespread,” Borovskyi summarized.
