Ukraine’s largest monument to Lenin put up for sale

                                                                    The sale of Ukraine’s largest bronze sculpture of Russian Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin has started in Zaporizhzhia. This was announced by the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council and acting mayor Regina Kharchenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The advert on Prozorro states that a bronze sculpture of Lenin, bronze sculptures of a steelworker, a collective farm worker, an electrician, a civil engineer, and uppercase and lowercase letters are up for sale.
The Lenin sculpture weighs over 12 tonnes and is 23 metres high. The starting price for the monument is UAH 10.4 million.




According to Regina Kharchenko, the money raised will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We are converting the mission of the former ‘Marxist theorist’ into resources to help our defenders who are defending us from the followers of the Soviet regime right now,”
– Kharchenko wrote.
