The most massive strike since the beginning of the war has shut down all TPPs of Centrenergo

On the night of Saturday, November 8, all thermal power plants of the Centrenergo group stopped working as a result of the most massive strike on the energy infrastructure since the beginning of the war.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference toCentrenergo.
According to the company, the attack was accompanied by an unprecedented number of missiles and drones, which targeted the same thermal power plants that were restored after the devastating strike in 2024, several units per minute.
“The plants are on fire! Our TPPs are not military facilities. We do not produce weapons! We employ civilians. We have stopped… We have zero generation today. Zero! We have lost what we were restoring around the clock. Completely!” the company emphasized.
The company stated that it had completely lost what it had been restoring around the clock and called for urgent restoration work.
“Every time the enemy strikes even harder, even more cynically. However, we will again do what we do best, overcoming fatigue and pain from the losses: restore, repair and introduce new generation!” said Centrenergo.
Emergency and repair teams are currently working on the spot. Information on the extent of damage, victims and the recovery schedule will be provided as soon as the security situation allows.
It is worth mentioning that Centrenergo includes three thermal power plants: Trypilska TPP in Kyiv region, Zmiivska TPP in Kharkiv region and Vuhlehirska TPP in Donetsk region (currently occupied).
As a reminder, last night Ukraine suffered another massive attack.
“It was a massive strike, a lot of ballistics – at least 25 ballistic missiles, air and cruise missiles, and more than 450 drones of various types. A very brazen, demonstrative attack in many ways,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The defense forces neutralized more than 400 drones, but there were also strikes on gas infrastructure. There was also damage to the railroad infrastructure. Several stations have no power supply, and the overhead line has been damaged in several areas.
