February’s Most Popular Diesel Cars: What Ukrainians Bought

Over the past month, 4,300 diesel-powered passenger cars were added to Ukraine’s vehicle fleet.
This was reported by [Komersant], citing “Ukravtoprom.”
Compared to February 2025, demand for diesel cars decreased by 12%.
Of the total number of cars purchased, 1,100 were new vehicles—an 8% increase from last year. Another 3,200 were used cars imported from abroad; their number, conversely, fell by 17%.
Among new diesel passenger cars, the most popular model was the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado—219 registered vehicles. Next in the ranking were the Renault Duster (206 units), Volkswagen Touareg (106 units), Toyota Hilux (55 units), and KGM Musso Grand (47 units).
In the segment of imported used diesel cars, the Renault Megane leads the pack with 232 units. The top five also includes the Nissan Qashqai (217 units), Škoda Octavia (208 units), Volkswagen Passat (175 units), and Hyundai Santa Fe (131 units).
