Analytical company Counterpoint Research has presented the top ten most popular smartphones in the world in the third quarter of 2025. Apple devices again took half of the list, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Last year’s iPhone 16 turned out to be the leader in sales worldwide. Apple’s basic smartphone accounted for 4% of total sales and gained a significant lead over competitors.
The second and third positions were also taken by last year’s Apple models – iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, respectively. It is noted that the placement in this segment looks atypical: as a rule, there is a greater demand for the Pro Max version, which is confirmed by statistics for the same period in 2024.
The fourth line of the ranking was taken by the budget iPhone 16e, which demonstrates the steady interest of users in the device, despite its compromise characteristics.
The second half of the list is made up exclusively of Samsung smartphones from the mass segment. The Galaxy A16 5G, A06, A36, A56, and A16 4G models took places five through nine, with no other company flagships in the top 10.
The current iPhone 17 Pro Max closes the ranking. Given that sales of this model did not start at the beginning of the quarter, its presence in the top ten best-selling devices is particularly significant.
