Cause of death and date of funeral for Green Grey band leader Andriy Yatsenko announced

The leader and founder of the rock band Green Grey, musician Andriy “Diesel” Yatsenko, died as a result of cardiac arrest. However, he never complained of health problems. The band announced this on its Facebook page, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
It is stated that Andriy “Diesel” Yatsenko passed away due to heart failure caused by coronary heart disease. He died on October 20, 2025 at 09:00.
“The founder of Green Grey and a tireless artist remained in the hearts of an entire generation that grew up on his energy, giving creative life to many young stars,” the band’s page says.
Farewell to the musician
The farewell to the leader and founder of Green Grey will take place on October 23 in Kyiv at the Cinema House of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine (6 Saksahanskoho Street).
You can pay your last respects to Andriy Yatsenko from 09:00 to 11:30.
It should be noted that in 10 days Andriy Yatsenko was to give a concert in Kyiv with Green Grey, which was the beginning of the band’s all-Ukrainian tour “Under the Rain”.
