In 2025, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) plans to conduct inspections of information security, cybersecurity, and electronic trust services at six banks. This was reported by the NBU press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

It is reported that Credit Agricole Bank will be inspected in the first quarter, Raiffeisen Bank in the second quarter, Pivdenny Bank and Credit Dnipro Bank in the third quarter, and Cominbank and Altbank in the fourth quarter.

The inspection plan was formed on the basis of a risk-based approach, taking into account the information available to the NBU on the facts, events and circumstances of the banks’ operation, the specifics of their functioning, the nature and scope of banking and financial services.

“This will help banks improve their capabilities to respond to modern cyber threats, as well as strengthen the cyber resilience of both banks in particular and the banking system as a whole,” the NBU said.

Control over electronic trust services will be exercised only in those banks that are qualified providers of such services and are included in the Trust List.

Earlier, the NBU proposed to update some of the rules relating to the functioning of the cybersecurity system and control over the state of information security and cybersecurity in the banking system of Ukraine.

In particular, it is planned to improve the process of annual reporting by banks based on the results of self-assessment of the processes of organizing and ensuring information security and cybersecurity.

It is also proposed to regulate the procedure for banks to inform the NBU of significant cyber incidents and significant changes in the organization of information security and cybersecurity.
