Illegal flight across the border: how a Ukrainian landed in a Romanian village

A 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen is suspected of illegally crossing the border after flying into Romania in a small plane.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning in the village of Frătăuții Vechi in Suceava County.
This was reported by Romanian law enforcement officials, writes digi24 , reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
What happened
According to police, the man landed in Romania in a light aircraft, crossing the state border without permission.
Border police patrols and other police units arrived at the scene, found the aircraft, and detained the pilot.
The man was taken to the Romanian Border Police station in Vicovu de Sus for further investigation.
Criminal proceedings
Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case under two articles:
- illegal crossing of the state border
- piloting an aircraft without the necessary certification documents
The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
