Netanyahu asks Zelenskyy for a conversation

Israel has initiated talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a comment by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The request for talks came from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

As Ambassador Korniychuk told RBC-Ukraine, the request was received last week, but a specific time for the conversation has not yet been agreed upon due to the extremely busy schedules of both leaders. The topics of the upcoming conversation have not been disclosed.

An RBC-Ukraine source in the Office of the President also confirmed the request for a conversation from the Israeli prime minister. However, according to the source, the Israeli side has not yet been able to determine a time convenient for both leaders.

“But it is not a problem for President Zelenskyy to speak with the Israeli leader,” the source said.

Cooperation with Middle Eastern Countries

As a reminder, Ukraine has recently been actively sharing its experience in countering Iranian technologies on the international stage. In particular, Ukrainian experts on shooting down “Shaheds” have traveled to the Middle East to help partners set up defense systems.

In addition, Ukraine has already sent its own drones and experts to strengthen security in the region, which is constantly under threat of attacks by pro-Iranian groups.

Such cooperation is becoming increasingly relevant, as even major market players, such as the Saudi oil giant Aramco, are rushing to strengthen their defenses against aerial threats.
