Netflix is raising subscription prices after record user growth. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to The Verge.

It is reported that the basic subscription will increase to $17.99. The price of the cheapest plan, which shows ads, will increase from $6.99 to $7.99.

Users of the most expensive subscription will have to pay $24.99.

However, these changes are only applicable to the US and Canada, Argentina, and Portugal.

At the same time, prices for users in Ukraine remain unchanged – from €4.99 to €9.99 per month, depending on the tariff plan.

The price increase for Netflix subscriptions will be effective from the next billing cycle of subscribers.

The company said that it continues to invest in improving its service and therefore has to ask its subscribers to pay more from time to time. The last price increase for Netflix subscriptions took place in October 2023.

It is noted that the cost of a subscription with advertising has been increased for the first time since its launch in 2022.

Over the last quarter, Netflix added 19 million new subscribers, setting a record for the growth of subscribers in a quarter. The total number of paid Netflix subscribers reached 300 million.
