Night attack of the Russian Federation: Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy all 9 ‘shaheds’

On the night of Tuesday, 16 April, the Russians launched attack drones into Ukraine. Air defence forces managed to destroy all 9 enemy targets. This was announced by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk, Komersant ukrainskyi 
reports.
The invaders attacked Ukraine with Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
All nine Shaheds were destroyed by mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytsky, Poltava, Cherkasy and Dnipro regions.
The southern Ukrainian defence forces reported that the air defence forces’ combat operations lasted about 3 hours. There were no hits.
According to the Southern Defence Forces, two UAVs were shot down in Kherson region and one each in Mykolaiv and Dnipro regions.
