Night attack by ‘Shahedis’: there are hits in Lviv region

On the night of 19 June, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 21 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
At 2:37 a.m., the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, informed that an air alert had been declared in the Lviv region due to the threat of enemy attack drones.
Later, he noted that the “Shahed” was moving in the vicinity of Lviv, and air defence was working on it.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi also confirmed the air defence operation, urging people not to film it and to stay in a safe place.
Later, he noted that there was information about a drone strike on the territory of the Lviv community.
“We have a hit by an enemy drone in Malekhiv, Lviv community. We know about one wounded man. He is a security guard, 70 years old,”
– sadovyi wrote.
He noted that the victim’s condition is moderate, he was hospitalised by an ambulance.
A multi-storey residential building was also damaged, with 20 windows smashed, as well as an office building where the security guard was hospitalised. According to the mayor of Lviv, windows were smashed in 5 buildings in the private sector.
The occupiers also damaged the Research Institute in Lviv.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that 19 out of 21 drones were destroyed.
The occupiers launched the UAVs from the directions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia) and Cape Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The enemy drones were eliminated in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi and Lviv regions.
On the night of 19 June, 5 out of 5 enemy “shaheds” were destroyed in Lviv region, said the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, citing information from the Western Air Command.
It is noted that as of 05:55, during the first night alarm, which lasted from 02:32 to 03:35 on 19 June, 4 enemy drones entered the airspace of Lviv region. During the second alert, which lasted from 04:27 to 05:24, another “shahed” tried to attack the Lviv region. All of them were shot down by air defence soldiers.
The air attack was repelled by fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare units of the Air Force, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
