NNEGC Energoatom announced a campaign to discredit them

Nuclear power, which is the basic and now almost the only source of stable electricity generation in Ukraine, is being destroyed by Russia. But not with attacks from the sky, but from within.
This is stated in a statement by the press service of NNEGC Energoatom, which announced the launch of a campaign to discredit the company, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“The other day, Energoatom was simultaneously attacked by a number of ‘bloggers’, ‘experts’ and even MPs, who simultaneously poured out gigabytes of false, inaccurate and manipulative information. They were waiting for a forced and painful decision to raise electricity tariffs to cause public discontent and disappointment.
The pseudo-experts also set out to undermine the team of nuclear workers, disrupt important production activities and disrupt the stable operation of the Company. They are well aware that the peak of the repair campaign at nuclear power plants is the most difficult and crucial time in preparing for the autumn-winter period. And all this when the volume and reliability of electricity supply to the population and the country’s economy depend on the only surviving basic generation,” the statement said.
The company emphasises that the enemy is acting on the principle: “We cannot destroy it with attacks from the sky, so we will do it from within – for money or in the dark through ‘bloggers and experts’.”
“We will undermine it from within, sow distrust and panic. Let’s give the bait made in the Kremlin offices to the Ukrainian fighters against corruption, let them do their job. We will not allow Ukraine to develop nuclear generation and build new power units. To do this, we will continue to invent corruption cases, diligently translate them into English and send them to the United States to destroy the trust and strong cooperation between Energoatom and its American partners,” the company said, predicting increased information attacks.
In particular, according to the company, the composition of the governing bodies of NNEGC: the Supervisory Board and the Management Board will be formed in the near future.
“Therefore, this is the optimal time for the enemy to discredit and introduce its agents of influence into the Company’s management system to undermine the work of the nuclear industry.
Energoatom is ready to defend the nuclear power industry of Ukraine, will continue to successfully develop it, and will hold not only the energy but also the information front. Within the framework of the current legislation, the Company will defend the rights of Ukrainians to have stable, high-tech and, despite the war, safe nuclear generation!” the statement concludes.
