Nobel Prize in Economics: the winners of 2025 have been announced

The winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2025 are Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aguion, and Peter Howitt.

This was announced by the Nobel Committee, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

They won for “explaining economic growth driven by innovation.”

In particular, Joel Mokyr won the award for “identifying the preconditions for sustainable growth through technological progress,” and scientists Philip Agion and Peter Howitt won for “the theory of sustainable growth through creative destruction.”

As a reminder, the traditional Nobel Week runs from October 6 to 13.
