“Nova Poshta warns of massive fraudulent SMS: what customers need to know
25 September 04:00
Customers of Nova Poshta have started receiving fraudulent SMS messages informing them that their parcel has been delayed due to an incorrect zip code. The text contains a dangerous link that is actually intended to collect personal and banking data. This is reported by the press service of Nova Poshta, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs
How the fraudulent scheme works
According to company representatives, SMS are sent from unknown numbers. In the messages, customers are misled by the phrase:
“Your parcel has been delayed due to an incorrect zip code.”
A link is attached to the text, supposedly to confirm the delivery address. In fact, it leads to fake resources that imitate official services and collect personal data of users, such as logins, passwords, and banking information.

Nova Poshta emphasizes:
“Do not click on dubious links in SMS and do not share personal or financial data. Delete such messages and warn your loved ones, especially the elderly, who may not suspect a fraud.”
How to distinguish genuine messages from fraudulent ones
The company reminds that all official communication of Nova Poshta is carried out exclusively through verified channels:
- official website of the company
- mobile application;
- official social media pages;
- SMS messages on behalf of the company (without third-party numbers and suspicious links).
Any messages from unknown numbers asking you to follow a link or enter your bank details are fraudulent.
Similar cases of fraud
This is not the first case of mass attacks on Ukrainians. Recently, QR codes were spoofed in public places in Kyiv. Attackers placed fake codes that led to phishing sites to collect payment information.
Cybersecurity experts remind that any link in a random SMS, email, or QR code should be checked before entering your data.
